Primary Colors
The pieces above are good examples of primary colors. The one on the left is done by endraum,
it clearly represents the primary color wheel, there is some secondary colors in this piece but it is the primary colors that stand out especially the yellow and red. The piece on the right was done by Dale Chihuly, the red and yellows are dominate in this piece as well but I love the long strands of blue represented.
Secondary colors.
These pieces would reflect the secondary colors. The one on the left was created by one of my favorite artists Revok, he is part of the infamous seventh letter crew which is highly respected in the street art world. From the green background to the purples and oranges of the piece itself represent the secondary color wheel. There is primary colors in this piece but I think they more accent the secondary colors. The piece on the right was created in Greece by artist AdmoN. The majority of the piece is secondary colors the light blues, purples, grey and dark reds are all examples of the secondary color wheel. Like in the piece on the left the primary colors accent the secondary colors.
Choma
Strong
This piece was created by an artist named Shaka, I could not find out anymore information about this artist. This represents very strong and vivid colors. They are very bright and the saturation seems high, bringing out the brightness of the individual colors
Weak
This is a digital painting created by Rocambole, I think it has a very water color feel to it. With water colors I feel you can express color in a calm and subtle manor. The colors are clear but they lack brightness and saturation giving it a very peaceful feeling. It is amazing how much it looks like a watercolor painting, I think it is really cool that you can get something like this digitally.
Value
Light, dark and bright.
This photograph has no color except black and white, I think it is a good example of how value works in the art world. It enhances shadows, light and contrast. Everything about the photograph gives examples of light, dark and bright. The lightness of the tree in bloom in the middle gives great contrast to the darker and shadowing surroundings.
Gray and dull.
This piece was created from another one of my favorite artists Banksy, I think the tones are mostly grey and dull. There are brighter elements but the majority of the piece is grey, and I love how it fades into the border. Banksy touches on very controversial subjects, in my eyes he is a artistic genious. He is already being compared to some of the greats.
