High contrast
This digital painting was created by Markus Lovadine. He offers numerous tutorials on line, the contrast in this image is very high. Both subjects are clearly there but he did a great job masking their identity and concentrating the majority of the light on the path of water in between them. The center is fully lit but the edges are dark and mysterious, this creates a powerful contrast.
Low Contrast
This piece was created by a man named Jeffery Hayes, he lives in Bellingham Wa. Jeff did an exceptional job on this low contrast piece. Every object is clearly different but also have a lot of similarities. Color, shadows and glare all of a mono tone to them. I believe this is about as low contrast as you can get.
Shape
Naturalistic
These finely made sculptures were in display cases in the reception area of Les Combarelles. The artist is unknown, but as you can see he/she did a wonderful job on the Mastodon and the man. He carved in the right places to give the subjects a very natural feel. The subtle shadows make everything from the fur to the mans clothing look authentic and real.
Geometric
This piece was created by European artist Delta. He creates complex three dimensional art, this is one of my favorite examples of Geometric sculpture. I love all the contrasting shadows and third dimensions, this piece has so many good third dimensions and shadows it is hard to focus on just one.
